Making Our Wedding Guest Quilt

I’ve seen many different options for wedding guest books lately including puzzles, globes, picture frames and, of course, there’s still the traditional book for guests to sign.

One of my bridesmaids had a guest quilt at her wedding a few years ago. I visited her a few months ago and saw it sitting on her couch. We found the square where I had signed and it brought back all sorts of fun memories! After seeing her quilt finished, and on display, the decision was easy! I’m adding another DIY project to my long list of wedding projects.

I started by choosing the color scheme for the quilt and decided on an array of colors I think will be warm and cozy. I found a variety of prints at JOANN’S and Hobby Lobby. I’m planning to have guests sign on ivory patches and then alternate those patches with the more colorful ones.

The pattern I’ll use is available online from another blogger, Amy Smart. For $2.50, you can’t beat the price!

The project is very much still in the works so I’ll share another update as I make more progress.
