In summary: it’s a lot of work! We’re also taking on a total renovation, I’m talking opening up walls and new drywall. So, it likely wouldn’t be nearly the undertaking if we were working with a finished home. We learn something new every single day as we get this house ready to be rented out. Jake is working like crazy to get all the finishing touches done including trim, floors, cabinetry.

I’m hitting Amazon hard along with Facebook Marketplace, T.J.Maxx and Target. I love the idea of reusing pieces others don’t need and it’s incredibly helpful to save money in the process. It’s the best when we find items we need on Marketplace!
Living room decor
I am so excited about this awesome find from Target: end tables for twenty bucks! I ordered both options in natural and black end tables. We’ll use the tables in the living room and bedrooms.
Bedding
For bedding, we’re going with white sheets and duvet comforter covers. Initially, I thought a darker color like gray would be better but I’ve read a number of articles saying it’s best to be able to use bleach to remove stains. We’ll see! I’m hoping that was a good decision.
We’re getting so close to the rental being ready!
